Lymphatic Massage

For those who are not aware of what a lymphatic massage is, it is a form of therapy which facilitates the flow and drainage of lymph. Lymph is a fluid that is important in immunity. It helps in eliminating the toxins and viruses in the body.

A lymphatic massage is also called as lymph drainage therapy or lymphatic drainage. The lymph travels all over the body through the lymphatic system in order to eliminate the viruses that have entered the body. When a virus or toxin is detected by the lymph, it will produce white blood cells that will fight off the infection. However, over time, the lymphatic system will be blocked or clogged because it doesn’t have a central regulator unlike the circulatory system. Therefore, one can definitely benefit from getting a lymphatic massage.

There are some advantages and disadvantages in getting a lymphatic massage. Some of its advantages include giving the immune system a boost, since it de-clogs the lymphatic system. This will also help in reducing swelling and enable easier access for the lymph to flow through. This massage will also help in removing toxins and other foreign bodies that entered your body by stimulating the fluids that are responsible for flushing out these toxins. In effect, additional white blood cells are also produced. These white blood cells will protect the body from infection or diseases.
